Debunking Meth Myths
Home

Media reporting based on the hyperbolic claims made by politicians and drug law enforcement personnel has fueled a growing national hysteria over a "methamphetamine epidemic"allegedly sweeping the country.

The mission of this website is to present the facts that are being ignored or not sought out by most of the mass media.

The truth is that methamphetamine use in America is declining, not increasing. Meth use doesn't even come close to being the major drug abuse problem in America. And while meth addiction is a very serious problem for a relatively small number of people (tiny compared to the numbers of alcoholics or of addicted tobacco user) it is not anymore addictive or harmful than are cocaine, caffeine, or alcohol and far less so than tobacco.

Read the information on this site, which reflects the knowledge of the nation's leading experts on drug abuse -- people like David Lewis, David Duncan, and Craig Reinarman.
